It’s known from 2005’ China Shaoxing International Textile Expo that the advantage of courage in self-creativity and enhancing industrial level was gradually showed in Shaoxing textile industry. During the 4-day textile expo, products trade volume hit all-time high with total 1.678 billion yuans, increased by 300 million yuans on previous year.

 

This textile expo was held in the background that China’s textile international trade frictions were intensified and domestic macro-control had impacted greatly on textile industry. Yu Weihua, Deputy Director of the organizing committee, said, “This year, vigorous efforts were made in industrial upgrading, and self-creativity and enhancing industrial in the textile industry in Shaoxing County. It made this expo attract nearly 5000 merchants from regions like Hongkong, Macao and Taiwan and 11 countries like US and France as well. Figure of attending persons hit 52,000, including 11,000 special merchants. The textile expo truly turned to be the bid gathering of international textile industry.

 

Another delighting thing was that famous personages and enterprises’ representatives of Hongkong textile industry wished to cooperate with Shaoxing counterparts on this textile expo. Liu Roufeng, Director of Directorate of Hongkong Textile Industry Federation Co., Ltd., and Hong Tianzhu, Deputy Chairman of Hongkong Textile Commercial Chamber, and other Hongkong personages believed that it would be the new choice for Shaoxing textile enterprises to utilize Hongkong’s regional advantage and jointly expand the international market with Hongkong enterprises, in order to elude the risks from the special protection.
