Shaoxing ranked 41st among 2005’ top 100 China’s Cities of Comprehensive Strength

At the end of 2005, vivid Shaoxing proved its strength again. It’s reported recently from the Municipal Statistics Bureau that at the press conference of 2005’ top 100 China’s Cities of Comprehensive Strength convened at the Great Hall of the People, State Statistics Bureau made an all-directional comprehensive assessment on nationwide 286 cities at prefecture-level and above, and Shaoxing ranked the 41st among nationwide cities, and ranked 3rd among nine listed cities of Zhejaing, following Hangzhou and Ningbo. 
 
The top ten cities among nationwide cities were Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Tianjin, Dalian, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Shenyang, and Haerbin. The top 100 cities were mostly the national, provincial or regional political, economic and culture centers, especially centralizing in economic communities like Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, and Annulus Bohai Gulf.
