The Trade to Which the Project Belongs: Tourism and Services
 
The Project Background & Construction Condition:
 
Tianmu Mountain is in the spotted bamboo forest area at a height 700 meters above the sea level. To its east is the provincial Wozhou Lake scenic tourism zone; to its south is the Tiantai Mountain national scenic tourism zone; to its west is #104 National Highway; to its north is the seat of Xinchang County. The major part of Tianmu Mountain is an extension of Tiantai Mountain. This area is renowned both home and abroad for its long tradition of Tang Dynasty poetry and Buddhist and Taoist culture, especially famous due to the three Taoist Blessed Lands named the Fifteenth, the Sixteenth, and the Sixtieth. This area also features dense forests, clean and fresh air, water of superior quality, mountains after mountains, jagged rocks, and adorable rhythmic green. The main peak of Tianmu Mountain surrounded by clouds is 900 meters above the sea level. The development of this area is listed in the 2002 Tourism Resources Development Plan of Xinchang County by the People’s Government of Xinchang County. 
 
Preparation or Progress of the Project:
 
The feasibility report is being compiled. 2.5 million yuan has been invested for the building of a highway12 of kilometers long. The installation of water and electricity facilities has been completed.
 
Construction Scale and Contents of the Project:
 
The total investment will be US$15 million. It will be used to develop functional areas, including Tang Poetry Culture Area, Buddhist Culture Area, Recreation and Resort Area, Ecologic Landscape Area, Mountain Climbing Area, Introducing and Domesticating Area for Rare Flora and Fauna, Hunting Area, and Service and Management Area.
 
Cooperative Modes: Joint venture, cooperation, BOT, and leasing are all welcome.
 
Cooperative Conditions Provided by the Chinese Side of the Project:
 
The Chinese side will provide investors with papers for examination and approval. It will also supply and protect the surrounding forest landscape and natural scenic resources.
 
About the Chinese Side of the Project:
 
Tianmu Mountain is managed by state-owned Tianmu Forestry Center administered by Forestry Bureau of Xinchang County.
