The domestic company should be a travel agency dealing with outbound tours with an annual business turnover of more than 50 million yuan and have served more than 30,000 tourists in the past three years. The company must also be a valid member of the China Tourism Association.
The foreign company should be a legitimate tourist operator in its country, dealing with outbound tours with a business turnover of US$50 million or above, and have established an online booking service. It must also be a valid member of the tourism association of its country.
The would-be joint venture should have registered capital of 5 million yuan or above, taking the form of a limited liability company and having a term limit of 20 years.
The domestic company, holding a stock of no fewer than 51 percent in the joint venture, has the right to appoint the company's legal representative.
A furnished office and qualified executives are required.
