Shaoxing Customs will formally start the operation on direct customs declaration of airborne export cargos next week. Therefore, Shaoxing will realize sea-land-air direct customs declaration of import and export cargos in an all-round way.
Direct customs declaration mode of airborne cargos is a kind of new-type customs declaration mode, referring to exporting cargos through directly applying to Shaoxing Customs to international airports and importing cargos through directly transferring from international airports to Shaoxing’s supervision spots.
Statistics showed that airborne export cargo volume of Shaoxing through the Customs of Shanghai Pudong Airport hit more than 17 thousand tons in the year of 2005, with the value of about 300 million dollars, concerning more than 1400 import and export enterprises. In the past, when importing airborne cargos to Shanghai Airport, relevant enterprises could apply customs declaration procedures only after import cargos enter into Shanghai Customs Supervision Ware house, featuring long time and high expense.
It’s reported that Shaoxing Customs had communicated with relevant airport customs of Ningbo and Xiaoshan to launch regular buses between Shanghai Pudong Airport and Shaoxing, Hangzhou Airport and Shaoxing, and Ningbo Airport and Shaoxing, and carriers would uniformly transact customs transfer procedures and apply customs declaration procedures to Shaoxing Customs.
