All special booths for the Keqiao Autumn Textile Fair have been booked more than three months before the event.
The 2014 edition takes place at the International Convention and Exhibition Center of China Textile City in Shaoxing city, Zhejiang province, East China from October 24 to 27.
More than 70 per cent, or 937 booths, have been booked by 451 textile enterprises. Fantesi Company of Zhejiang province has reserved a 200-square-meter area to display products following the success of the spring fair and Red Green and Blue Textile and Ding Textile have each booked 160-square-meter spaces.
Provincial exhibitors show interest
The fair has already attracted well-known exhibitors including Sazhou from Jiangsu, Heng'an from Fujian, Qinyuan from Shaanxi, Yiyi from Shanghai and Dahai from Shandong with more provincial companies expected to register and exhibitors from outside Shaoxing city to account for more than 50 percent.
Industrial zones encourage firms
Enterprises from Changxing county have been invited and will be given financial support while Meili town in Changshu, Jiangsu province has been in contact to ensure its enterprises will attend. Jiaxing in Zhejiang province and Zhangjiagang in Jiangsu province also plan to attend.
Overseas influence grows
The Slovakian Consulate General in Shanghai has enquired about participation and sources said enterprises from the country are expected to exhibit.
The fair's overseas influence is growing and the Taiwan Textile Federation, Hong Kong Trade Development Council and other institutions have applied to take part. More than 20 overseas enterprises, including San Tonie from Italy, Yantex from Germany, Testex from Switzerland and Witts Brothers Textile from South Korea, have registered.
