Governor Li Qiang met with Kolo Roger, Prime Minister of Madagascar, in Hangzhou on August 29.
Kolo came to visit Zhejiang after attending the closing ceremony of the Summer Youth Olympic Games held in Nanjing, China.
Li Qiang extended a warm welcome to the delegation headed by Kolo and introduced Zhejiang’s economic and social development. He said the Prime Minister had recently reached several agreements with Chinese leaders and Zhejiang, renowned for her individually-run economy and export-oriented economy, would take an active part in exchanges and cooperation with Madagascar. Li Qiang also expressed hope for further strengthening economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges, especially in such industries as fishery and tourism, and achieving mutual benefits and win-win results.
Kolo expressed his thanks for the hospitality received in Zhejiang. He hoped that Zhejiang’s enterprises could seek business opportunities in Madagascar, and he was willing to make efforts to promote the friendly ties and cooperation between Madagascar and Zhejiang.
Before the meeting, Kolo visited Wahaha Group and ZINGS Power Scien-Tech Co., Ltd and talked with Zhejiang’s enterprise representatives.
