Reporters from the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce that the CPC Central Committee and State Council had decided to set up 7 pilot free trade zones in Zhejiang and other provinces (municipalities).
Based on advantages of the zones and parks already approved by the State Council and with emphasis on institutional innovation, these 7 pilot zones will aim to meet the requirements of international economic and trade rules, and comprehensively deepen reform and opening-up in a wider and broader scope with special features and distinctive focuses.
Zhejiang is expected to probe the development model of the Zhoushan Free Trade Zone in accordance with the requirements of the central authority, advance bulk commodity free trade and enhance the global allocation capability of bulk commodities.
