The first city study in Keqiao opened on December 22nd. On the same day, the last activity in 2018 of Diyang Reading Club, a special “reading” party --- appreciating calligraphic style of Weibei (tablet inscriptions of the Northern Dynasties) took place here. Zhou Yinong, professor of College of Humanities of Shaoxing University, analyzed changes in calligraphy styles in different dynasties through showing a calligrapher Xiao Hui’s Weibei calligraphy works. The city study is located at No.846, Huxi Road, on the west bank of Guazhu Lake. It has more than 5,000 kinds of books, over 11,000 books in total. The city study has a parent-child reading area, a leisure area, a self-service library and a study. The industrial-style in design helps the city study create a reading atmosphere and provide a reading environment proper for a slow life in cities.

The member of the standing committee of Keqiao district Party committee and propaganda minister, Yang Weiqing, took part in the activity. The deputy district head Zhu Jingzhi beat gongs to open the city study.
