On the morning of May 24, the Special Matchmaking Conference on the Enterprises Directly Controlled by the Central Government in the Digital Economy Settling Down in the Greater Bay Area of Zhejiang was held in Hangzhou, to jointly discuss the development of the digital economy and jointly build a strong and active growth pole. Digital economy leaders such as China Electronics Technology Group Corporation, China Electronics Corporation, China Energy Construction Holding Group, Alibaba, Huawei, SMIC, and Ziguang Group attended the conference.
Governor Yuan Jiajun, Chairman of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation Xiong Qunli, Chairman of China Energy Construction Holding Group Wang Liming, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of China Electronics Corporation Zeng Yi, and President of National IC Industry Investment Fund Company Ding Wenwu attended this conference and made a speech. Feng Fei presided over this conference and Xu Liyi attended. Those in charge from Zhejiang Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Hangzhou City, Zhijiang Laboratory, etc. made an introductory speech respectively.
Yuan Jiajun pointed out that Zhejiang Greater Bay Area is the “Golden South Wing” of the world-class urban agglomeration in the Yangtze River Delta and a high-capacity platform for Zhejiang to fully implement the new development concept and participate in the national strategy of high-level integration of the Yangtze River Delta. The construction of Zhejiang Greater Bay Area at an advantageous starting point and with a high standard is designed to model on the world-class greater bay areas, in order to foster a batch of “10,000 mu and 100 billion” new industrial platforms and a number of hundred billion advanced manufacturing clusters and to build a pioneer zone of modernization, an innovation highland for the digital economy, and a new engine for high-quality development, so as to contribute to the layout optimization of the major productivity in the Yangtze River Delta and the creation of a world-class development highland.
Yuan Jiajun emphasized that the digital economy is a “golden business card” of Zhejiang and is also the advantage of Zhejiang’s participation in the national strategy of the Yangtze River Delta integration. At present, Zhejiang is implementing the “No. 1 Project” of the digital economy in depth, by launching some landmark leading projects including a digital bay area, “unmanned workshops”, “unmanned factories”, a mobile payment province, eWTP electronic world trade platforms, urban brain, 5G +, future communities, “handheld service” and “handheld office” and others with “digital industrialization and industrial digitalization” as the main line and by accelerating the construction of pioneer areas for the development of digital industrialization, demonstration zones for the digital transformation of industries, pilot zones for the system and mechanism innovation of digital economic, digital technology innovation centers, new trade centers, and centers for emerging finance.
Yuan Jiajun expressed his hope to comprehensively strengthen the practical cooperation with the famous enterprises directly controlled by the Central Government in the digital economy, to jointly plan to build characteristic towns of digital economy, to jointly make the cutting-edge technology breakthroughs in the digital economy, to promote more R&D projects, manufacturing projects and platform projects to settle in Zhejiang, to strive to take the lead in such cooperation areas as innovation platforms, key core technologies, major projects and leading enterprises, and thus to accelerate the formation of the cluster effect of the digital industry.
This matchmaking meeting saw the signing of 28 major cooperation projects in the digital economy, with a total investment of 30.335 billion yuan. Before the meeting, the provincial leaders and the heads of the famous enterprises directly controlled by the Central Government visited the construction plan of Zhejiang Greater Bay Area.
