The CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee hosted an economic work conference in the provincial capital of Hangzhou on Dec 23.
During the conference, the attendees were informed of the results of the sixth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, the annual Central Economic Work Conference, and the tenth plenary session of the 14th CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee. They also discussed ways of guiding the province's economy in 2022.
In his keynote speech at the conference, Yuan Jiajun, Party secretary of Zhejiang, proposed seven major tasks that the province's cadres should fulfill in 2022.
The first task is to push forward the construction of the demonstration zone for common prosperity.
The second task is to push forward digitization reform.
The third task is to ensure the complete success of the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022.
The fourth task is to improve the province's security in energy, resources and food.
The fifth task is to build a greener society with a smaller carbon footprint. The government cadres have been tasked with preventing and tackling pollution, upgrading the province's ability in ecological restoration and biodiversity protection, and improving the natural environments of cities and villages.
The sixth task is to regulate the development of the internet platform economy.
The seventh task is to prevent and resolve possible major threats to politics, finance, and public security.
