　---To be in charge of industrial management of citywide road traffic transport, taxi transport, waterway transport, harbor transport, vehicle and vessel tenancy, conveying, load and unload, united consignment service, technical examination, repair and maintain, transport technical standards, rules and rations, training work of vehicle driving schools and drivers; to induct optimizing transport configuration and harmonious development on traffic industry; to adjust and control necessarily on key material transport and urgent traveler and freight transport; to manage traffic and transport markets with related departments, to maintain equal competitive order of road and waterway traffic industries.
